So you’re ready to try an indoor cycling class? Woop woop! Check out some commonly asked questions here so you can know before you go.

  • It's my first ride, what time should I come?

I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to class start to check in at the front desk and get help with your bike set up! Let the instructor know it’s your first class.

  • What should I bring?

Water, towel and all your party vibes!

  • What do I wear?

You’ll want to wear longer shorts or leggings (my fave leggings are linked here!), a comfy tee or tank, sports bra and supportive sneakers (not Converse!).

  • Do I need special shoes?

It depends on your studio! Some bikes have toe cages so you can wear regular sneakers. If not, the studio will usually have shoe rentals available.

  • How hard is it?

The goal of any good instructor is to provide you with a great workout. There are options for riders to adapt the class to an intensity you are comfortable with. Take water or towel breaks whenever you need them, not just when they are cued. You should always consult with your physician before starting a new exercise program.
